if there was a return date on the airline ticket mary purchased for a trip from florida to maryland. they also want to know about any aberration on the number of calls she made to the family home and wanted to know what degree ronald kuntz had in psychology. twice, and jurors in the mary kuntz murder trial in sent questions to the judge. the 60-year-old woman is charged with the june 2009 murder of her estranged husband and the attempted murder of the couple's daughter, kelsey. 66-year-old ronald kuntz was shut -- was shot multiple times at his home. jurors asked for detailed definition of what they call conscious intent. the judge said out of an abundance of caution he gave them the definition of proof of intent. -jurors ask who pays for her psychiatric care if she goes to a mental institution. >> the defense objected to the proof of intent instruction by the judge, saying it was not clear exactly where the jury was in its deliberations. barry simms, wbal-tv 11 news. >> police have identified a man whose body was found outside of northwest baltimore home. a concerned resident called police after f

earlier this morning that came through western maryland, panhandle ofl west virginia and into northern maryland. that's up into southern pennsylvania, near york pennsylvania and continuing to move off to the east. it is up to 87 in washington. the heat is on even with the cloud cover. it has warmed into the mid and upper 80s, not only here but around the bay and the eastern shore. it is in the 80s around the blue ridge and shenandoah valley. over the last 12 hours, we have had this cloud cover coming in in advance of a weak front way out in the midwest. it's going to bring a bit of welcomed relief by the end of the week. for this afternoon, partly sunny, humid, a chance of a passing thunderstorm between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. highs reach the low and mid-90s. a look at the rest of the week and some changes on the way and the weekend as well. that will be coming up in a few minutes. stay tuned. >>> we'll see you in a few minutes. vre is already expanding its new express train service just one day after it started. the new service from fredericksburg to union station ran the inaugural trip ye

: the sun beat down hard on maryland, during the worst of this heat wave so far. and the pollutants and the hazy air made it unhealthy. several hundred bge customers were without power statewide. one outage temporarily closed the hamilton branch of the enoch pratt free library. but with the flip of that switch, power was back on where bge crews spent the morning working. >> thank you so much. >> in timonium, the baker family's air conditioning went out. but they were able to get it back on. >> it was a little uncomfortable. more for my husband than for me. i'm kind of used to the heat. >> we have been very busy. in the last several weeks, we have been working a lot of overtime. >> reporter: from the harbor to harford county. to north avenue in the city, the heat wave is on, along with the danger. six people have already died this year of heat-related causes. >> it is a slippery slope there from being dehydrated to having heat exhaustion to having heat stroke. and it's important to be ahead of that curve. >> reporter: amtrak has rescue loc motives every 30 to 50 miles along the north

of water main breaks in did d.c., maryland and virginia that has left many with limited water service in the heat wave. the latest break happened in it arlington around 10:00 this morning at the intersection of second street and courthouse road. it left several customers in the immediate area without water. traffic has also been slowed. crews were hoping to have the pipes fixed by early this evening, but they say problems with the pipe valves could hold up those repairs. >>> repairs have wrapped up on a main located in the 2700 block 6 pennsylvania avenue. it left 200 customers without water this morning including a nearby firehouse. the pipe is now fixed and water has been restored to the area. >>> there is a chance of thunderstorms tonight and a possible wet weekend, too. >> veronica johnson is standing by and tells us what we can expect as we head right into the weekend. >> i don't think we'll have any widespread severe weather across the area, but we could have one or two cells that put down high winds through the area. and of course we need the rain. so we'll take it in the form

heads to poolesville, maryland this friday. if you're in the area, stop by and say hello and of course tune in for all the hometown action right here on fox a friday morning. there's oil out there we've got to capture. my job is to hunt it down. i'm fred lemond, and i'm in charge of bp's efforts to remove oil from these waters. bp has taken full responsibility for the cleanup and that includes keeping you informed. every morning, over 50 spotter planes and helicopters take off and search for the oil. we use satellite images, infrared and thermal photography to map and target the oil. then, the boats go to work. almost 6,000 vessels. these are thousands of local shrimp and fishing boats organized into task forces and strike teams. plus, specialized skimmers from around the world. we've skimmed over 27 million gallons of oil/water mixture and removed millions more with other methods. we've set out more than 8 million feet of boom to protect the shoreline. i grew up on the gulf coast and i love these waters. we can't keep all the oil from coming ashore, but i'm gonna do everything i can
